FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – An Oak Hill man donates Thing Blue Line Flag to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department would like to extend a big thank you to Mr. Mike Proctor of Oak Hill for his donation to the department. Mr. Proctor donated this beautiful Thin Blue Line flag he constructed this morning out his appreciation for law enforcement.
“Mike and I grew up together in Oak Hill, and he is a true blue Fayette County resident,” says Sheriff Fridley. “This beautiful walnut flag will be displayed proudly in our office for years to come”.
The phrase “Thin Blue Line” is often used by law enforcement officers and supporters to refer to their profession. The line represents law enforcement being a separator between criminals and potential victims — or good and evil, according to the Thin Blue Line Foundation.
