OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Hear from Oak Hill head football coach David Moneypenny as the Red Devils near the end of their first week of Phase One under the WVSSAC guidelines regarding summer practices.
More than 50 student-athletes have taken part in various conditioning drills throughout the week, some of whom had previously played under Moneypenny at Fayetteville. Now that he is about to begin his first year with a new team, he says it has been an enjoyable experience getting to know the players.
Fayette County schools are set to continue Phase One next week before entering Phase Two later this month; that would allow for slightly larger groups of student-athletes to practice together. It also would allow for regular use of indoor facilities to practice.
