OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Yard sale season is upon us and the City of Oak Hill has put new systems in place to streamline the process by putting applications online and adding a new map feature.
Now everyone can apply for their free yard sale permit on the city’s website.
Because of this online process, the GIS Department has been able to create a map for those wishing to catch a good sale.
Although GIS Coordinator Tyler says it will not give out the name of the person hosting the yard sale, it will show on the map where it is happening and what you can find.
“You can pull that map up and quickly look at all the yard sales taking place,” Bragg said. “You know, if you get up Saturday morning and want to go yard selling, you can just reference that map and find out where all the yard sales are and help navigate to those yard sales.”
All of this is available on the city’s website.
