Nicholas County Man Arrested For Meth, Firearms, and Cash

NICHOLAS COUNTY (WOAY) – Units of the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force began an investigation during the past few months in the Zela area of Nicholas County. During the investigation 3 controlled Purchases of Methamphetamine were secured from the residence of Lynden Jay Young in Zela located at 1045 Country Rd Summersville, WV.

On the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 21st, 2018 units executed a search warrant at the residence locating approximately 17 grams of Methamphetamine prepackaged for sale, a sum of U.S. Currency and several firearms. Units seized the items within the residence and arrested Lyndon Jay Young. Mr. Young was transported to the Central Regional Jail.

The Central West Virginia Drug Task Force is comprised of officers from the Nicholas County Sheriff Department, Summersville Police Department, West Virginia State Police, Fayette County Sheriff Department, Oak Hill Police Department and Fayetteville Police Department.
