WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Another uneventful day is in store for southern West Virginia as high pressure lingers to our southwest. This will keep us dry and sunny, and temperatures will be similar to yesterday as well. Winds will be breezy, so it will feel a bit colder despite the sunny skies. Today and early tomorrow will be the best time to get anything done outside, as we will be entering a rainier weather pattern starting early Saturday morning. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
The rainy pattern starts late Friday night into the wee hours of Saturday morning. A small group of showers has been trending to hit the region after passing through Kentucky and Ohio earlier in the day. These showers will last through Saturday morning before clearing out for the afternoon. The skies will remain mostly cloudy, but conditions will improve through the rest of the day Saturday. The rain does make a second appearance this weekend, as more showers pop in Sunday morning. A low-pressure system moving through the Great Lakes will bring some rain down into the region before clearing out Sunday evening.

The next work week will continue the on-and-off rainy pattern. Monday will be a nicer day with mostly sunny skies before more showers pop in on Tuesday. These showers last through the day and into Wednesday morning. After these leave, another nicer afternoon is in store. This pattern continues beyond the extended forecast as more rain is expected before the next week ends. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
