BLUEFIELD, WV (WOAY) – The Mercer County Board of Health has announced a new Health Officer.
Roger Topping, Vice Chairman of the Mercer County Board of Health, released the following information:
The Mercer County Board of Health is pleased to announce Dr. Steven Stefancic as Mercer County Health Officer. Dr. Stefancic is an ER physician at Princeton Community Hospital. Dr. Stefancic, a Princeton native, graduated from West Virginia University Medical School and did his internship at the University of Virginia Medical School. Dr. Stefancic will assume the position upon approval from Dr. Amjad, West Virginia State Health Officer. Dr. Stefancic looks forward to serving the Mercer County Board of Health and the citizens of Mercer County.
