National Motorcycle Rally Is Cruising Its Way Into Beckley

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY)- The National Motorcycle Rally made up of Firefighters, EMS and First Responders will be holding their National Rally in Beckley this weekend.

The Rally will begin this Thursday, June 20th and will go until Sunday, June 24th.

The club will be headquartered at the Harper Rd. area of Beckley and will leave for group rides daily starting with the first one on Thursday.

The group is planning on exploring the beauty of West Virginia by visiting several historical landmarks throughout the state.

Organizers of the event told WOAY that with an additional 1,000 people coming to the area, this will be an increase for the economy.

More than 600 bikers will travel on Saturday from Beckley to the New River Gorge in Fayette County. If you are expecting to travel on Saturday, you may want to leave early and allow extra time and also be cautious when you see them out on the road.
