BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Mountaineer Food Bank held its monthly mobile food pantry this afternoon at Linda K. Epling Stadium.
Volunteers handed out 300 food boxes to families in need. Each box contained oranges, chicken, butter, and produce items. Staff member Cara Holmes says the need in the Raleigh County area has been more consistent compared to the past.
“It seems like in this area it has grown since we started doing it here. I feel like we have more cars in here today than the last time we did,” said Cara Holmes.
