Montgomery General Hospital employee tests positive for COVID-19

MONTGOMERY, WV (WOAY) – An employee at Montgomery General Hospital has tested positive fro COVID-19. The hospital released the following statement in conjunction with the Fayette County Health Department:

“Montgomery General Hospital has a staff member who has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was tested Saturday and confirmed positive on Sunday. The hospital also confirmed that they have a patient who is being considered as a Patient under Investigation at this time. Vickie Gray, President and CEO of Montgomery General Hospital stated, “We are working in partnership with the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health and the Fayette County Health Department to conduct an outbreak investigation in order to ensure the safety of our employees, patients and residents.”
