Monday 1/30/17 PM Weather Update

Good Monday evening, snow showers have come to an end for the majority of us with cold temperatures still around.  Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies, temperatures will drop into the low and mid 20’s, and breezy conditions will continue.  Temperatures overnight will rise to near freezing by 5am, thanks to a warm front that will move in during the overnight hours.  There will be black ice overnight and through tomorrow morning, especially on untreated roads.  A slight rain/snow shower is possible tomorrow and Wednesday with a cold front moving through.  Temperatures will be warmer for Tuesday with highs in the upper 40’s to near 50°.  We will see temperatures cool off for the end of the week with partly cloudy conditions.  Another system will impact us Saturday night through the day on Sunday.  Right now, models are not in agreement with how strong the system will be and exactly where the low pressure system will track.  As of now, it looks like we will see a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain, before transitioning to all snow by Sunday afternoon.  Stay tuned throughout the week for updates.
