Miners Extend Win Streak to Four Games

Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Miners have now won four straight after coming from behind to win 6-4 over Butler Wednesday at Epling Stadium.

The BlueSox scored first on a two-run home run from Colton Carney, with the Miners getting on the board in the third inning. They would take the lead in the fifth inning with four runs, holding off a Butler rally in the seventh.

Colby Johnson batted 3-4 and scored three runs, while Logan Roberts recorded two RBI. Trevor Reynolds, the winning pitcher, threw six innings, while Hunter Sexton recorded the save.

The Miners & BlueSox will play again Thursday in Beckley, before the Miners head on a four-game road trip.
