Chief Meteorologist Chad Merrill has the latest information on Milton’s expected landfall and a look at the likelihood of cold weather alerts for our region this week.
It’s important to note the strong northeast wind preceding Milton will likely blow water OUT of Tampa Bay, so the level will be much lower than normal through the evening. When the wind switches to the northwest early Thursday, there will be a significant rush of water back into the bay and flooding will occur.
