WOAY – A Mercer County man was arrested Thursday afternoon on multiple charges, including child neglect creating risk of injury.
According to the arresting officer, a West Virginia State Police Trooper, he responded to a domestic call in Princeton involving the suspect, his girlfriend, and their infant daughter. According to the initial call, the male suspect had reportedly put a gun to the daughter’s head and threatened to kill both his girlfriend and their daughter.
The suspect had left the scene prior to the arresting officer’s arrival; the officer noticed cuts and marks on the girlfriend, who said the suspect struck her and threatened to kill her, while she was reportedly holding the daughter. The suspect was later taken into custody along US Route 19 by the West Virginia State Police and Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.
Harley Rose is charged with Child Neglect Creating Risk of Injury, two counts of Brandishing a Firearm, two counts of Domestic Battery, and driving with a suspended license. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail on a $50,000 bail.
