Meeting to be held to discuss state’s plan to battle opioid crisis

CHARLESTON, WV – The West Virginia Department of Human Resources will hold a public meeting on Thursday for everyone to share their ideas on how the state should respond to the opioid epidemic.

The meeting will be held from 1pm to 4pm at the West Virginia Water Development Authority.

Senator Joe Manchin sent a letter to the DHHR secretary, Bill Crouch, with recommendations for the state response plan to fight the opioid crisis.

Manchin says “Given the deadly impact of of this epidemic, I am pleased to see West Virginia moving forward, to develop a response plan to combat the opioid epidemic.”
