Measles outbreak in twenty-one states

WEST VIRGINIA (WOAY)- The Centers For Disease Control is monitoring a measles outbreak in 21 states including two West Virginia border states.

 

From January 1 to July 14 of this year 107 people from the affected states were reported to have measles.

 

The states near us that are affected with measles are: Maryland and Pennsylvania.

 

Measles is an infectious viral disease that can cause fever and a red rash on the skin and typically occurs in childhood but the disease be prevented with a vaccine.
