Man Leads Police On Chase Through Raleigh And Wyoming Counties

RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Identity of the man that led police on a chase Saturday night has been released.

According to court documents, Police tried pulling Barry Lilly over but he fled the scene, leading them on a car chase. The chase went through Raleigh and Wyoming Counties. A tire blew out and that led him to crash into the bushes near Rhodell Fire Department.

During the chase, Lilly was throwing items out of the car, hit a gas pump and hit a police car.

Lilly is charged with fleeing with reckless indifference, fleeing while DUI, driving suspended, DUI controlled substance, no insurance and expired registration.

Lilly is being held in the Southern Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar bond.

RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY)- A car chase between police and a suspect is over in the town of Rhodell.

The suspect hit a curve and ran into the bushes.

No word has been released on injures.
