UPDATE: Man accused of sexually abusing a five-year-old waives preliminary hearing

UPDATE (12/16/2019 at 2:00 pm) – PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – A man who sexually abused a five-year-old was in court today.

Alexander Hamilton had a preliminary hearing in Mercer County, which he waived.  His case will not be bound over to a grand jury in February.


Original Story (11/13/2019 at 9:20 am) – PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – A man has been arrested after forcing a five-year-old to perform various sexual acts.

According to a criminal complaint, the five-year-old victim stated that Alexander Hamilton touched him inappropriately and made him perform various sexual acts. The boy told a CPS worker that this happened multiple times.

A trooper attempted to contact Hamilton back in June, but Hamilton left the Mercer County area and was somewhere in Huntington. Hamilton has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse.
