MEADOW BRIDGE, WV (WOAY)- A Fayette County man has been arrested after attacking his elderly mother.
Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Meadow Bridge to a call of a man attacking his elderly mother. While enroute, Deputies were updated that a family member was restraining the male party to prevent him from causing further injury.
Upon the Deputies arrival, they found family members restraining the subject outside the home using a belt and rope. The subject was then secured by the officers. They found that the 70 year old victim was struck in the face with a dinner plate by the suspect, her son Hubert Lee Fox (49 of Meadow Bridge). He also allegedly shoved her down, and also tackled her in the yard until finally being restrained by family members. The victim sustained cuts, scrapes and a busted nose. She was screened by EMS, but refused transport to the hospital.
Fox was charged with the felony offense of Unlawful Assault, and Domestic Battery. He was transported to the Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment.
