Man, 21, arrested for sexual abuse of 3-year-old

MERCER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Authorities arrested and a Mercer County man Friday afternoon for allegedly molesting a child.

Authorities say that the 3-year-old victim told Child Protect of Mercer County that Brandon Williams, 21, touched her inappropriately and made her touch him. The mother of the child told authorities that she left the toddler in Williams’s care on multiple occasions.

Prosecutor George Sitler says the child did not appear to be repeating a rehearsed story and a child that age would not otherwise know the details of what she described.

Williams is charged with sexual assault, sexual abuse and sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person of trust. He’s at Southern Regional Jail under a $50,000 bond.
