MABSCOTT, WV (WOAY) – WATCH! Check out this video on anti-bullying that 5th graders at Mabscott Elementary made as a class project. Well done Mabscott Elementary School! Raleigh County Schools
Mrs. Yost, Mabscott Elementary School 5th grade teacher:
“During a school talent show, one of Mabscott’s fifth graders sang the song ”Waving Though a Window.”
After the entire fifth grade heard the song they were inspired to make a difference.
Mabscott Elementary’s fifth-grade class decided to make a video that brings bullying and isolation into the spotlight.
The fifth graders at Mabscott want to encourage all students to choose kind, to be aware of the people around and offer a helping hand, a kind word, a listening ear, a friend. The students feel if they can end isolation and find a way to make everyone feel included, bullying reports would begin to diminish. Join us in our efforts by sharing our project!”
