BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Sweetz Da Snackery, a locally owned restaurant, announced last week that they will be offering free packed lunches to school kids.
Starting this week from Monday through Friday, 11 A.M. to 12 P.M., the restaurant will be giving food to children in need during the school closures. Because the schools are closed, many children are expected to be without some of their meals as they may not normally have enough support at home and depend on free school lunches.
The restaurant has been known to offer support to those in need in the past. They also typically give away food to those in need every third Saturday of each month.
