OAK HILL, WV (WOAY)- Active Fitness Center in Oak Hill hosted “Kilos For Kenneth” today. People in the Oak Hill community came to together in honoring Kenneth.
Kenneth was a young boy who lost a tough fight with a rare cancer PIDG. PIDG stands for Diffuse Intrinsic Potine Giloma. The “Kilo For Kenneth has two ways in raising money and all the proceeds go to families with sick children.
One way is the weight lifting portion where people can sponsor one of the athletes and donate 25 cents per pound on what the athlete can lift. Another way is the hero workout and this workout comes in the honor of Kenneth.
The “Hero Workout” workout is symbolic to Kenneth Carroll because he was born January 11, 2003 and he died at the age of 7. This workout consists 1 heavy lift , 11 wall balls, 200 meter run, and 3 dead lifts for 7 rounds.
