RALEIGH COUNTY,WV (WOAY)- Usually when police come to crash a party, it’s not good! But for one child it was the surprise of his life.
While on patrol Beckley Police SGT. Blume and his K9 Ciro made an impromptu stop to wish a happy birthday to 11-year-old Blaine and his friends. Blaine’s parents who are also first responders tell Newswatch their son loves the police, and even talks about how he too wants to be a police officer when he grows up.
During the surprise visit Blaine along with his friends got to check out some of the cool gadgets inside the police car and even got up close and personal with Ciro.
“It was so cool! I got to sit in the front seat of his car and I got to turn on the lights and pet the dog,” Blaine adds. “It was really exciting.”
We’re told one of the reasons Blaine aspires to become a police officer is because they get to go on adventures and he loves adventures.
