WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Showers of both rain and snow have been passing by in spots, scattering across the area as many prepare for their morning commutes. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has his latest forecast for the rest of the coming week:
The sun will come out later today as we clear out in the evening, and it will stick around tomorrow with temperatures rising by 20 degrees. Wispy clouds will accompany the sun through the day tomorrow, helping the staggering temperature rise. Wednesday will be the hottest day of the month, as we are looking to reach past 75 degrees for the first time this year with mostly sunny conditions.
Clouds will build overnight Wednesday into Thursday as the next frontal system makes its way from the Pacific Coast, bringing some light to moderate rain. These showers won’t be like what we saw this weekend, thankfully. Friday will feature mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures before another Pacific Coast system makes its way through on Saturday with more light rain. Sunday will be mostly cloudy to end off the week, with temperatures standing pat at just above 50 degrees.
This rollercoaster weather has no stop in sight currently, with constant changes and instability continuing. We will have above average precipitation next week as well, once again making for a wet and unstable week. Snow is not out of the realm of possibilities either, especially in higher elevations. Don’t pack away the winter clothes quite yet!
