WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): The final cold front of the current bitter blast will swing through tonight with light snow and a reinforcing shot of cold temperatures.
SHORT-TERM: The cold front will push through between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Ahead, along and behind the front, expect a few snow showers that will add up to 0.3″. Unfortunately, every flake will accumulate on the roads, so use caution driving. Between 6-7 a.m. Wednesday, the sky will clear and winds turn light. This is when temperatures will drop to below zero in most spots by daybreak. Thursday will be breezy and warmer and another low pressure offers light snow on Friday.
LONG-TERM: We are looking for highs to finally budge above freezing this weekend into next week, with gradual melting of snow. We are looking for a warmer trend in early February.
