Lewisburg Teenager Arrested For A Large Quantity Of Marijuana

LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – A Lewisburg man was arrested early Tuesday morning after a routine traffic stop that resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana.

Lewisburg police conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep Cherokee for traveling on Rt. 219 with no headlights on at 2:49 in the morning.

Officers noticed material consistent with drug use and deployed K9 Rocky which indicated on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed 4 ounces of individually bagged marijuana.

Joshua Alexander Franklin, 19, of Lewisburg, is charged with Possession with the intent to deliver. He was lodged in the Southern Regional Jail in Beckley.

Ptlm. J.T. Williams II is the investigating officer in this case.
