BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A new dance studio just held a grand opening in Beckley.
Legacy Dance Company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today along with the Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce. The owner of the studio Brittney Fitzgerald says it’s been her dream to be a dance instructor for years.
“I started dancing when I was two years old so I’ve been dancing for 26 years now. And I moved Beckley six years ago and I finally decided that it was time that I made it possible to make my dream come true and started my dance studio.”
A registration event for dance classes for all ages is being held this weekend, and dances start September 8. As well, the company is taking appropriate COVID-19 precautions, including sanitizing the studio between sessions and encouraging social distancing.
The Legacy Dance Company is located at 313 North Eisenhower Drive in Beckley.
