Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro holds first race in months in Glen Daniel

GLEN DANIEL, WV (WOAY) – This weekend, the Hidden Valley Golf Course played host to Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro’s first race in over five months.

The dirt biking competitions held on Saturday and Sunday were open to everyone from seasoned professional to 12-year old kids. Each day included six “tests” for over 20 different classifications of drivers.

Liam Draper, a professional rider originally from New Zealand reflected on what makes the enduro racing so grueling yet rewarding.

“People don’t understand how physically demanding it is our sport is,” said Draper. “We do a sprint series here and we also run a GNCC series which is three hours long. You’ve got an average heart rate of 180 for three hours. You’re absolutely destroyed after the race.”
