Kansas State Upsets WVU Women in Morgantown

WOAY – West Virginia women’s basketball has now lost two straight after dropping a 60-52 contest to Kansas State on Wednesday night in Morgantown.

The Mountaineers were led by a double-double from Teana Muldrow, who contributed 25 points and 10 rebounds, but the Wildcats kept it close in the first half, as WVU led by three at halftime. Mike Carey’s team held on to the lead going into the fourth quarter, but Kansas State was able to outscore the Mountaineers 18-8 in the final 10 minutes.

In addition to Muldrow’s performance, Theresa Ekhelar had seven points and eight rebounds, while Peyton Williams had a double-double for Kansas State (22 points, 10 rebounds).

West Virginia stays in Morgantown Sunday afternoon when they host Iowa State.
