FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY)- The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department is excited to share that one of their K-9s fulfilled an amazing feat last night.
K-9 Nala, a 2-year-old German Short-Haired pointer, was able to find a missing elderly man. Deputies were investigating a missing complaint after he was gone for 6 hours after leaving on foot. Corporal Wickline and K-9 Nala were called in to do a track. She picked up the scent and was able to find him trapped in a nearby shack.
Sheriff Fridley states quote “To follow a six-hour-old scent is amazing for any K-9. We work hard training with our K-9s, and it showed last night with Nala.”
