Jacob is one of our meteorologists and comes to us from the Long Island suburbs of New York City. He has liked weather since a young age, spending hours watching The Weather Channel and hoping to see thunderstorms outside his window. He vividly remembers Hurricane Sandy and being able to run outside during hurricane-force winds (something he doesn’t recommend!)
He studied Atmospheric Science with a concentration in Broadcast Meteorology at the University at Albany. He graduated in May 2020, packed up his bags, and joined us here in southern West Virginia soon after!
Jacob’s broadcasting career started with an internship under the direction of long-time meteorologist Janice Huff at WNBC in New York City.
When he isn’t forecasting, Jacob enjoys exploring West Virginia’s great outdoors, eating pizza, and listening to good music. If you have any weather-related questions, or you know of any good pizza places for him to try, feel free to email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
