Huntington Teacher Suspended for Anti-Muslim Tweets

Cabell County school officials say a Huntington high school social studies teacher has been suspended with pay after they discovered several anti-Muslim tweets on her personal twitter account.

According to Cabell County schools Communications Director, Jedd Flowers, the inappropriate tweets were discovered on Mary Durstein’s account.
Durstein will have a hearing before Cabell schools Superintendent, William Smith.
The Cabell County Board of Education will then vote publicly.
Flowers said school officials asked Durstein to delete the account and she has complied.
