Hundreds Without Power After A Car Crashes Into A Power Pole

COOL RIDGE, WV (WOAY) – Emergency crews were called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident that hit a power pole.

Dispatchers tell WOAY that the call came in at around 8:49 pm Tuesday evening. One car hit a power pole and has caused power outages to almost 400 people in the area.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Ghent Fire, Ghent EMT, Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, and Appalachian Power were called to the scene.

Appalachian Power says estimated power restoration time is around 3 am Wednesday morning.
