Hot Summery Pattern Continues Unabated Through Early This Weekend

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): The warmest days this week will be Friday and Saturday before a front brings widespread showers and thunderstorms.

HEAT: Temperatures will reach the upper 80s until Thursday, and then climb into the low 90s Friday and Saturday. Sunday and Monday will be back into the 80s before warmer temperatures on Tuesday.

THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL: Each afternoon between 1-6 p.m., there will be a storm somewhere west of the Greenbrier Valley, but only 10-15% of real estate will see any rain. A better chance for gusty storms comes into play Saturday afternoon. Ultimately, showers and storms will push through Sunday afternoon, with the best risk for severe weather. A few showers and storms are likely Monday, but the storms likely won’t have much wind. We are back to a growing temperature trend Tuesday through Wednesday next week.
