WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today will bring another hot and humid day with around a 10% chance for a pop-up shower or two in the afternoon. It’ll be the last of the nicer days for a bit as scattered storms and showers come in through the weekend and into the next work week. Unfortunately, this won’t result in a cooldown, as we will continue to see hotter temperatures and humid conditions. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Saturday and Sunday will bring scattered storms that will become more widespread as the frontal system moves through the region on Sunday. Some storms may have heavier rainfall due to the heat and humidity helping development. Monday will bring more scattered thunderstorms into the forecast, though none are trending to be severe in the region.
Tuesday and Wednesday will have some scattered showers, though will overall be drier and hotter. Thursday will be when the next disturbance hits the region and we start to cool down a bit from the hot weather we’ll be seeing through most of the extended forecast. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
