Hospice In Southern West Virginia Is In Need Of Volunteers

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Hospice of Southern West Virginia is in need of volunteers. Those who graciously give their time will be able to provide companionship to patients/families, run errands, office duties, chaplaincy and fundraising events.

There are several new opportunities such as writing ‘Life Stories’ for patients, providing Hospitality Services at Bowers House, making Tuck-In calls to patients/families prior to weekend/holidays and working with veteran’s in our Vet-to-Vet Program.

We are currently in need of a Volunteer Chaplain who can make in-home visits.

If you’re interested in becoming a HSWV volunteer, the next Volunteer Training Class will be from 1- 4 p.m. at the Wickham Admin Office, which is behind Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, on June 11 and 13, 2018.

Please call 304-256-6404 or email volunteer@hospiceofsouthernwv.org to sign up.

Please let anyone know who you believe would be interested in becoming a Hospice volunteer!
