WEST VIRGINIA (WOAY)- West Virginia native Sgt. Major Timothy Allen Bolyard will be laid to rest Wednesday afternoon in his home town of Thornton located in Taylor County.
The forty-two year old died earlier this month while in Afghanistan with what the Pentagon describes as an attack by a member of the Afghan National Police.
On Tuesday, Governor Jim Justice ordered for all United States and West Virginia state flags displayed at the Capitol Complex in Charleston and all state facilities in Taylor County to be lowered to half-staff in commemoration of the burial service for U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Timothy Allen Bolyard.
A viewing was held for Bolyard Tuesday.
