Handle With Care

Police from Fayette County met today discussing a new program that will be implemented in the Fayette County School System. The program is called Handle With Care and is designed to let the school administration know when a child is involved with a traumatic experience. The program will not give out information about the experience the child was involved in. It is designed to let the School Administration know the child may have reasons for acting out. Sheriff Mike Fridley says this program will not affect the public’s daily routine.
“This doesn’t really affect the public in any way other than to know we care about their children, and the children within our County, and we will do whatever it takes to make sure they are taken care of,” says Sheriff Fridley.
This program will begin in Fayette County schools on February 1st.
