Greenbrier Resort, Old White Charities Facing $800K Lawsuit

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS–  A company tied to The Greenbrier Resort is facing a lawsuit from an out of state company.

According to the Charleston Gazette, Select Event Group Inc. filed the $800,000 lawsuit on Wednesday against Old White Charities and the resort. The company alleges they provided equipment and services for the 2016 Greenbrier Classic and were never paid in full. They say they are owed $755,000 and are also asking for $55,000 in interest, any further interest that should accumulate, plus court costs and fees.

The lawsuit does not say that the June 2016 flood that prevented the Greenbrier Classic that year was the cause of the damage or loss.

This lawsuit is one of several that have been filed recently against the resort or Old White Charities relating to goods or services provided during this time.
