Greenbrier County Schools Implements New Text Messaging Service For School Closures & Delays

GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Greenbrier County Schools have implemented a new text messaging service for their school system.

This service is called The School Messenger, and it’s available to parents and staff in the Greenbrier County school system. School messenger will notify parents and staff with a text message when school is going to be on a delay or closed.

“On December 12th, they’ll receive a text from school messenger and it will invite them to opt in and they can follow that process.  If they would like to opt in earlier than that, they can just text the word, yes or the letter y to short code 67587.   They’ll receive a message back just confirming that they want to enroll and that will be it. It’s a pretty easy process,” said Christy Clemons-Rogers

If you are a parent or staff member and would like to receive these notifications make sure to opt-in.
