Greenbrier County schools announces back to school dates, open houses

Greenbrier County Schools have announced dates for the upcoming school year.

Grades 1-12 go back to school on August 28.

Classes start on September 5 for kindergartners and September 7 for Pre-K students.

The county is holding new student recruiting events on July 12 at Ronceverte Elementary School and July 13 at Rupert Elementary. The events run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.

New enrollees need to bring an official state-issued birth certificate, immunization record, copy of health check exam, copy of most recent dental exam, two proofs of residency, and a social security card.

The school is also holding open house dates across the county. The dates are:

August 21:

Smoot Elementary – 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

August 23:

Alderson Elementary – 4:00– 5:30 p.m.

Frankford Elementary – 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

White Sulphur Springs Elementary – 4:00– 5:30 p.m.

Western Greenbrier Middle -4:30 – 6:00 p.m.

August 24:

Crichton Elementary – 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Rainelle Elementary – 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

Ronceverte Elementary – 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

Rupert Elementary – 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Eastern Greenbrier Middle – 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Greenbrier East High – 6:00 p.m. (Freshman Orientation)

Greenbrier West High – 6:00 pm. (Freshman Orientation)

August 25:

Lewisburg Elementary – 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
