Greenbrier County man arrested in alleged stabbing incident

LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – One man is charged with malicious assault after he allegedly stabbed another man.

Lewisburg Police say at around 6:30 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, they received a call of a stab wound on Hilltop Drive in Lewisburg.  After arriving on the scene, officers found the victim, Roy Warning, suffering from several injuries, including an apparent stab wound to the chest.  First aid was rendered to the victim by Lewisburg Police officers until first responders from the Lewisburg Fire Department and the Greenbrier County Emergency Ambulance Service arrived.  The victim was transported to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center and then flown to a Charleston area trauma center with critical, life-threatening injuries.

Later that evening, the Ronceverte Police Department stopped and detained the suspect in the stabbing, Logan H. Friedman, in Ronceverte.

Friedman was charged with malicious assault and is currently in Southern Regional  Jail.
