WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Sunny skies will dominate across the region today, giving us a great day before a few days of rain and storms. There is a slight possibility for showers in the southern counties tonight, however it is still unlikely. The significant rain chances start on Thursday. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the soaking details:
Thursday will be he start of a few rainy and stormy days, though it will start with lighter rain in the afternoon. The significant storms and showers will start Friday as a low-pressure system drags a warm front through our area. These storms and showers will continue into Saturday as a cold front passed through on the back end of the low pressure, which will advance to Canada. While there is no severe weather anticipated with this round of storms, be sure to stay safe when you hear thunder or see lightning.

The light at the end of the stormy tunnel will be Sunday. The rain will leave and mostly sunny skies will prevail as we cool down into the mid-60s. This is not nearly as significant as the cooldown earlier in the month, though still a bit of a cooldown. We warm right back up on Monday with continued nice weather before a slight chance of rain on Tuesday of next week. Here’s you 7-Day Forecast:
