Gov. Justice to address the State tonight at 7 pm

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – Governor Jim Justice has announced that he will address the state tonight on the latest developments surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak.

Justice tweeted the following message: “I will address the citizens of West Virginia tonight at 7 p.m. on our #COVID19 preparations and response. You can watch our livestream on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, or your local TV station“.

During a press conference on Friday, Justice said that there would not be a media briefing over the weekend unless there was a significant announcement to be made.

It’s unclear what the Governor will announce.

As of Friday night, the state had eight confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Counties with positive cases: Jackson (1), Jefferson (2), Kanawha (1), Mercer (1), Monongalia (1), Tucker (2)
