Gov. Justice says he will not be sending students back to school until it’s safe

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – Gov. Jim Justice says that he will not send students back to school until it’s safe to do that.

During his daily press briefing, the Governor said he wanted to be clear on one thing; he will not send students back to the classroom until it’s safe. Justice said he would be talking to the health experts and listen to them on when they think it might be safe.

Justice is still hopeful that students could go back to school, even if it’s just for one or two weeks so that they can close out the year.

Right now, schools are out until at least April 30, 2020.
