GasBuddy analysts report decrease in gas prices this week

West Virginia (WOAY) West Virginia drivers are getting some relief at the pump this week.

According to GasBuddy, the average price of gasoline in the Mountain State has dropped more than 17 cents per gallon over the past week to an average of $4.29.

The national average also fell nearly 20 cents to $4.26 per gallon

Gasbuddy says declining oil prices and easing concerns about global supply helped drive the decrease.

In West Virginia, prices range from a low of $3.48 to a high of $4.89 per gallon.

Analysts say more short-term relief could be on the way, but ongoing tensions in the Middle East could cause prices to rise again in the weeks ahead.
