Five arrested in drug trafficking scheme in Pineville

PINEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – Three Pineville residents and two male juveniles are arrested after found to be involved in a drug trafficking scheme.

On Thursday, Sept. 3, the Pineville Police Department, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, and West Virginia Department of Natural Resources served a search warrant at a residence located on 365 Main Ave. in Pineville.  Through an ongoing investigation, information was received that two male subjects from Akron, OH were at a residence believed to be involved in drug trafficking.

During the search warrant process, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, and cash were seized from the males from Akron.

   

Three adult residents and two male juveniles were arrested.  Derick Laxton, Bobbi Laxton, and Justin Laxton were charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled substance and knowingly keep and maintain a dwelling which is resorted by persons using controlled substances.

All three were arraigned by Wyoming County Magistrate Court and bond was set at $30,000 each.  They were transported to Southern Regional Jail.

The two male juveniles were charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver heroin, and possession with intent to deliver fentanyl.

These arrests were the result of an ongoing investigation of drug trafficking from the Akron, OH area.
