FIRST ON WOAY: Man Identified Who Led Police On High Speed Chase

RALEIGH COUNTY (WOAY) – WOAY is now learning who led police on a high speed chase through Raleigh and Fayette County.

The suspect is 27 year old, Garin Michael Kincaid. Kincaid is facing multiple charges including, fleeing in vehicle with reckless indifference to the safety of others, grand larceny, and obstructing and Officer.

Kincaid is being held in the Southern Regional Jail under a 100,000 Dollar Surety/Cash bond.

Original Story: FIRST ON WOAY: RALEIGH COUNTY (WOAY) – Police were busy Saturday evening trying to stop a driver who led them on a high-speed chase.

Dispatchers tell WOAY News that at around 9:30 pm a call came in of a stolen vehicle on Teel Road in Beckley. Police units from Raleigh and Fayette County responded and speeds reached up to 90mph. Police tried using stop sticks to stop the vehicle but were unsuccessful.

The driver turned on S. Raleigh Ave in Mount Hope and jumped out of the vehicle on foot. A K-9 was used and the suspect was caught and has been taking into custody.
