First Annual Music Bash to Come to Greenbrier County

FAIRLEA,WV (WOAY) – The Fairlea Volunteer Fire Department is inviting all of Southern West Virginia out as the fire department will be hosting their first ever “Music Bash”.

The department has been holding fundraisers at local bingo halls but unfortunately they haven’t been drumming up enough support.

In order to create more buzz the department decided on the music bash. The bash will feature Confederate Railroad and the Davisson Brothers.

All of the proceeds will be going to the fire department to help assist with the cost endured at the station, which includes new gear and better training materials.

Fireman, Glen Grimmett adds,”We get funding from the state it’s just not enough. It doesn’t get us the updated equipment and we need a lot of things and this is hopefully going to help us with that.”

The “Music Bash” will take place on June 7th at 7 p.m., tickets can be purchased at the State Fair Box Office from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., or by calling 1-800-514-3849. You can also purchase tickets online at or  www.ETIX.com.
