Fire Marshals Association of West Virginia warns food truck operators about safety

Charleston, WV (WOAY) – The Fire Marshals Association of West Virginia is reminding food truck operators about safety.

According to a post on the Fire Marshals Association of West Virginia’s Facebook page, food truck operators are encouraged to get an annual fire inspection done. In many states, including West Virginnia, it’s the law.

The Fire Marshals Association of West Virginia also recommends getting the following items checked out:

Propane & cooking systems
Fire extinguishers
Electrical systems

Emergency shutoffs
Fire suppression systems
According to The Fire Marshals Association of West Virginia, failure to get an annual fire inspection could get your truck shut down.
Many states and cities are now issuing inspection stickers for food trucks and trailers.
Some event organizers may turn food truck operators away without proper inspection paperwork.
